PUNTA RUCIA
Punta Rucia is only 30 km from Buen Hombre and is located in the Province of Puerto Plata, while Buen Hombre is part of the province of Monte Cristi. Punta Rucia is most famous for its boat trips to Cayo Arena or the well-known Paradise Island. People from Monte Cristi claim that this sandbar island belongs to Monte Cristi, whereas those from Puerto Plata assert it belongs to the Province of Puerto Plata. Since 2013, we have been running the kitesurfing school at Buen Hombre beach, and we have also been teaching in Punta Rucia.
