Our team Kite Buen Hombre is experienced in teaching kite surfing and island hotel hosting. In 11+ years we have taught people from all around the world and the learning has :) been mutual. We value honesty, experience, and dedication with our professional instructors licensed by IKO and other international institutions.
We are proud of our team. Our team is international, we speak around 8 languages between us. Our life in Buen Hombre is fun, colorful, and full of stories.
Miky started kitesurfing in Playa Buen Hombre in 2013 and Kite Buen Hombre team started receiving people from all around the world. Join us at our kitesurfing camp for amazing trips and classes. The camp is suitable for both beginners and advanced riders. It is located in a beautiful flat water kite paradise. All the boys who are kiting in Buen Hombre learned from Miky and he was the one who gave them kite gear to practice.
At first, some boys came to see what Miky was doing. Gradually, they started helping us clean Playa Buen Hombre beach. The local boys learned and practiced using the school's kite-boarding equipment. It is quite a history and some of the boys that started to learn about kitesurfing from us at the age of 15-16, have kids of their own these days.

Miky has been teaching kite surfing for more than 15 years, he started kiting in Cabarete when he was 14 years old. He is a Champion in Strapless kiteboarding and is the highest-level certified kitesurfing teacher. His skill and patience are well known.
All our kite surfing instructors at Kite Buen Hombre School have certifications for kitesurfing and also for first aid, surfing, kayaking, boat captaining and more.
Our boat is equipped for kite surfing trips, and our captain holds licenses for boating and kite surfing.

Kite Buen Hombre Kite School and camp was founded in 2013 by Miky and Riin who brought the kitesurfing to this remote village. After more then 11 years there are more than a few thousand students who have learned kitesurfing with us and keep coming back a few times a year and around 15 boys in village who learnt with Miky and got their start with Kite Buen Hombre school.
Getting to know the village people and living in Buen Hombre has made us love this place and we are happy to welcome you with us to make some more stories :). We are proud to have helped to make the beach cleaner and support the community in many ways.
