Buen Hombre is famous for the strong wind and most windy days in the Dominican Republic. Also in the Caribbean. During the summer, we receive many people from the other Caribbean islands and Florida to enjoy the 25+ knot wind every single day. All through the year, every month there is more than 50% windy days. During the months of October and May we suggest to have more than 1 week of time in case there happens to be no wind days.
Our flexibility between Cabarete and Buen Hombre also enables us to always be in the windiest place.
Buen Hombre is situated in one of the driest areas of the country and Cabarete has a humid climate thanks to a lot of rain.
Flat Water and long shallow beach makes Buen Hombre ideal for learning and practicing kiteboarding.

It is more than 11 years since we started to bring people to Buen Hombre and set up our kite school. There was no 24 hour electricity, no internet, barely any phone signal and even now the running water is not available in the area.
With 11 years of experience we have been able to design and maximize the stay and learning experiences for our guests.
We have short and long term stays, transportation and flexible stay also between Cabarete and Buen Hombre.
We are developing the area in Buen Hombre and every day we have new services available. Different accommodations are available for different tastes and budget.
