Buen Hombre is an amazing spot, especially for beginners like me. The wind conditions are perfect, and the lack of waves makes it ideal for learning. What I love most is the strong sense of community—it’s a place where even if you're traveling solo, you feel like part of a family. There's just one big table where everyone comes together for breakfast, dinner, or to play games, which makes it feel so warm and welcoming. I absolutely love it and will definitely be returning

Buen Hombre has the best conditions that I have found in all of the DR! It's got shallow flat water protected by reef, the strongest wind and beautiful sandy beaches with amazing scenery. When the rest of the country has no wind somehow, there will still be wind in BH. This is because of its unique microclimate and geographical location, seriously this place is PRIMED for SENDING!

I have tried a few kite surfing schools in the Dominican Republic and there is a clear winner. If you want kite surfing school cabarete or kite surfing school buen hombre I highly recommend this team of professionals. Everything they do is designed to make your kite surfing journey a blast! To make your experience more comfortable this school offers everything from transportation to lodging, spectacular graduation ceremonies, and an overall great vibe. Also if you are looking for a more simple option (just lessons) they offer that too. I would say the price is fair and they are an honest company who provides years of professional experience and they have a great reputation.

Do I need experience?
Experience is always valuable, but not necessary. We're here to introduce you to this sport from the very beginning, along with your friends.
How do I get there?
We have transportation service from all of the Dominican Republic airports: Santiago STI, Santo Domingo SDQ, Puerto Plata POP and Punta Cana PUJ, 24 hours a day, just send us your flight details and our 14 people van or Kite Buen Hombre Jeep will pick you up just in time.
What's the best time to visit?
There is good wind all year round, the windiest months are from November to September. The peak months for wind are June, July, August and September
What if there is no wind?
We also have many activities for non-windy days, like boat trips, SUP boarding, kayaking, car and motorcycle rentals, excursions to the chocolate factory and banana plantations.

The water is flat and shallow, as in Cabarete the water is choppy and has shore break

Does Kite Buen Hombre provide accommodations and transport?
Yes, Kite Buen Hombre is the first kite school in Buen Hombresince 2013. We currently have accommodation for up to 30 people, from beach bungalows to beach lofts and luxury villas. Just ask us to get you the right package.
We have special prices for kite lessons together with accommodations.
Kite Buen Hombre provides transportation between all airports and many locations in the country. Just provide us with your plans and itinerary to make you the best suggestions.
Can I just rent equipment?
Yes, of course, you can just rent the kitesurfing or wing foiling gear and stay with us. We also have kite gear storage right on the beach in the kite school.
